What leads you to believe that 5% of the population is trans? As I understand it, here in the US, where a trans person can be out and actually get treatment, they still make up a fraction of a percent of the population. Even if everyone who even considered they were trans transitioned, I'm guessing they would still make up less than 1% of the population. It's just not that common of a condition, despite what fear-mongering bathroom bills might have you believe.
