Any sense of whether this is a consequence of their political activities (I know there are some who would jump to this conclusion) or is it just the downtown generally. I'd be curious to see if their interest on politics changes when they're under financial pressure
- KerrAvon 4y agoYou'll know if DeSantis's political theater in Florida had any effect if they decided to lower DisneyWorld ticket prices. I suspect it did not!
- filmgirlcw 4y agoPolitics has nothing to do with their operating income loss on streaming (which is growing significantly but that clearly isn’t priced either high enough or that they aren’t making up the losses on from other parts of the business) and Disney as a corporation’s politics have been largely consistent since at least the late 1980s.
- dboreham 4y agoIt's a consequence of changing sentiment. Big companies can always lose some workers and still make the same profit (hence more $ for management and shareholders), but tend to not fire those workers for fear of bad karma. But today every company is firing people so it's ok.
