Elon Musk tells Twitter employees ‘bankruptcy is not out of the question’
- samwillis 4y agoHe has repeatedly claimed both Tesla and SpaceX could go bankrupt, so I don't really take anything he says seriously. He's just trying to light a fire under his employees to encourage them to work overtime and justify forcing them back into the office.
- firstSpeaker 4y agoHe is just trying to stress the folks let at Twitter even more. Such an unethical move to have an entire company constantly hang in the purgatory of having a job next month or not.
- nerdawson 4y agoAd revenue is down and there’s a ton of pressure on advertisers to bail on Twitter at the moment. We’re also in a recession with advertising budgets set to shrink further. The suggestion the company may struggle seems entirely warranted.
- pbak 4y ago:unethical move Would you rather he put up a set of safe spaces in the offices to shield their emotional health from the realities of working at a major company in a capitalist economy ?
- jamesssssss833 4y agoWould obviously rather he not get caught up in an ego trip and decide to pump and dump an entire company with tons of employees all the while clearly abusing said employees in plain daylight. The class action is brewing and he deserves it.
- vonzepp 4y agoIf your employer is in danger of bankruptcy, one should probably be thinking about looking for new job.
- kalkr 4y agoThe way things have been going make me question if he even wanted Twitter to survive in the first place. What happens to him if Twitter goes bankrupt? Is it possible that it could potentially be a loss minimization strategy?
- erellsworth 4y agoStrategy? I think you're giving Musk too much credit. It seems pretty clear to me that he had no real plan for Twitter. I really think he bought it on a whim, then tried to get out of the deal when he had buyers remorse. Now the blue bird is an Albatross and he's flailing about trying to figure out what to do with it.
