Developers are drawn to complexity like moths to a flame
- sentrms 4y agoI've definitely experienced this trap first hand, transforming a web app from a monolith to a distributed app with a ton of bells and whistles. I think having some years of experience under your belt transforms you from longing for complexity to striving for clean and simple solutions. Especially if you're also responsible for moving the project forward in the long run.
- collyw 4y agoSo true. Trying to explain to them that the latest fad will only add complexity seem to be a loosing battle.
