Crows able to understand the concept of recursion
- quantified 4y agoWonder how smart dinosaurs could have been. Brains weren't large compared to body, and we don't know much of anything about their structure (folding, various types of matter) but they had a long time to improve their intelligence if it helped them hunt, hide and rear.
- fiedzia 4y ago> they had a long time to improve their intelligence if it helped them hunt, hide and rear. To catch a chicken you need to be slight faster some of the times, not much of intelligence necessary. (You will need a lot of development of internal organs to be slightly faster though).
- wnoise 4y agoThis shows crows understand nesting. (Which is kind of amusing.) It's true that understanding (even merely to the level of correctly checking for) /arbitrary/ nesting requires an implementation that is equivalent to recursion, but they're not actually the same.
