I wonder if we could train a "Font Copilot" on a bunch of fonts and then claim the output is license free
- TingPing 4y agoFontfaces aren't copywritable in the US.
- advisedwang 4y agoInteresting. A bit of Google and it seems that although this is technically true, the digital representation of a typeface (ie the font file itself) is copywritable (it is treated like software).
- nwellnhof 4y agoTrueType font hinting is Turing-complete, so font files can be considered computer programs.
