> Since elon actually took ownership... i have seen dramatic improvement to twitter
This needs a lot more context, what do you mean by dramatic improvement, and what data are you using to measure this?
- snypher 4y agoThe fact this person used the term "twitter run" signifies they only see Twitter as an opportunity to be antagonistic rather than anything useful.
- incomingpain 4y ago>If you never commented, how do you know you were shadow banned? Oh sorry my mistake, I did comment to a canadian chess player saying good job on a great result on tournament where he was second lowest seed but ended up doing well. There was a comment of 'why is this comment hidden under 'more' and 'offensive'. Hence checking. >This needs a lot more context, what do you mean by dramatic improvement, and what data are you using to measure this? Firing the political activists was a shocking change in comments for those I follow. Curation of twitter users was obviously occuring.

I don't understand this, you're saying that you made one comment and it was deprioritized so you think that one comment being deprioritized is evidence of you being shadow banned for following conservatives? Maybe the algorithm prioritizes based on how often you comment and how often your posts are liked, which seems like a pretty sensible way to do it. > Firing the political activists was a shocking change in comments for those I follow. Curation of twitter users was obviously occurring. Hm.. Yoel hasn't even publicly announced he's leaving, as far as I know he's still at Twitter, so when you say "Firing the political activists was a shocking change in comments for those I follow". Which political activists and when? When was this 'shocking change' since Yoel as recently as yesterday said he was still doing his job? Also, how do you know this isn't just confirmation bias / people testing twitter with more? I mean uses of slur's on Twitter went way up, but that was while the content moderation team was still in place.

There was a website which could check if you were shadow banned. https://shadowban.yuzurisa.com/ https://shadowban.yuzurisa.com/ >Hm.. In terms of firing political actvists... go check the names of the teams which got fired by Elon. >Also, how do you know this isn't just confirmation bias / people testing twitter with more? I mean uses of slur's on Twitter went way up, but that was while the content moderation team was still in place. Like if we are debating the point sure you can argue confirmation bias or selection bias. But I'm not debating anything, there's no need to argue over my opinion.
- mikkergp 4y ago> check the names of the teams which got fired by Elon. What would the names of the teams have to do with wether or not the individuals were political activists? Even if I take your supposition that a team is political adjacent, there are all sorts of roles that a politically minded person might take other than "activist" even politicians don't necessarily consider themselves "activists".
