Sweden Wins Covid
- jleyank 4y agoI would think Norway did better than Sweden. Very slightly higher on the left, way lower on the right. And culturally, I thought the nordics were more “reserved” than other westerners, which is a form of self-isolation?
- sp332 4y agoI don't think this takes into account that Sewden was just not testing children early on. Here's a twitter thread with a timeline and sources https://mobile.twitter.com/VirpiFlyg/status/1578549751485648897 https://mobile.twitter.com/VirpiFlyg/status/1578549751485648...
- unknownsky 4y agoI'm in Sweden and we did several of the things that article says we didn't do. In Sweden we have a legal right to unlimited time off when we are sick. During the pandemic, we were instructed to stay home and collect our paid time off if we had even the slightest symptom. Starting after a few months into the pandemic, everyone who could work from home was required to do so. In places of work where it was impossible to work from home, strict social distancing rules were in place. That article makes some other questionable assertions, for example claiming it's an indisputable fact that Covid was manufactured in a lab.
- GuB-42 4y agoThe methodology is bad too. He is adding up percentage points, which makes no mathematical sense. There is a follow up article with better (but still questionable) methodology that doesn't have Sweden on top, by far.
