I think the $8/month charge will put spam and bots out of business. That’s why Musk is doing it. I’ve just subscribed to Twitter Blue and aside from the extra features, I have a lot of confidence that if others do this, we’ll have a more robust and civil platform.

Funny... I think the exact opposite. The spammers and bot-herders will flock to buy blue ticks in order to look more legit. The rest of us don't basically give a fuck.

Including some pretty dumb people (yet verified...) who straight up tweet that their problem with the idea is that "it won't be special anymore".
