- senttoschool 4y agoSeems crazy. The president and his lawyers knew Pence had no legal grounds to reject electoral votes. But they were encouraging him to do so. If it didn't work, it was going to be all on Pence. If it worked, Trump would remain president.
- Comevius 4y agoThis piece only came out now because everyone is dropping Trump like hot potato, betting on DeSantis who happens to be waging the same useless culture war Trump does. In fact you will barely find one Republican who have a platform other than forcing conservative social beliefs on a country that is already center-left without gerrymandering. I also don't believe that Pence didn't see this coming after years of riling up their supporters with conspiracy theories, fueling an unprecedented amount of right-wing extremism.
