I'd just love to know if Docker is ever going to fix the issue where my computer kernel panics when going into hibernation if my macbook is unplugged and docker is running. Had an open, reproducible issue for a quite while that has affected lots of other folks too, but no real recognition from Docker.
- jamesvnz 4y agohuh, so that's what's happening to me. I was wondering what the likely cause of the kernel panic issue might be. This might be the impetus I needed to try one of these Mac docker alternatives.
- onlycoffee 4y agoGoogle Mac hibernate issues. Over 1 million results. Windows, over 3 million. I gave up on hibernation being a valid concept in the 1990's, there's too many things that can go wrong and computers are more complex today.I don't use hibernation and Docker has no issues.
- jscheel 4y agoI mean, I've never had any other issue with it. This is clearly a docker problem.
- onlycoffee 4y ago1 million Mac and 3 million Windows users most of whom probably don't know what docker is let alone run it; would like to disagree.
- jscheel 4y agoYou are being weirdly antagonistic about this. Do you work for Docker? Random search result counts (not unique users btw) have nothing to do with a reproducible bug in Docker. Why are you so caught up on this? You are welcome to go to the issue queue in GitHub to read the steps to reproduce for yourself if you want.
