Weird cars are becoming the new normal
- simne 4y agoConclusion is right, but not original. - At all recessive markets, vendors must show something special, to got attention of crowd.
- alexfromapex 4y agoI would be much more likely to buy a car based on how appealing the outward appearance is than weird gimmicks inside. I feel like the majority of electric vehicles look weird and not in a good way. The Porsche Taycan is awesome, wish there were more affordable models like that.
- factsarelolz 4y agoThere's a reason they look weird and are super expensive. It's a virtue signal from the people that can afford to adopt the technology first. "Look at that million/billionaire driving an X, they must be energy conscience." When the price comes down people will jump to have the same energy conscience car that million/billionaire had. Just look at most of the electric cars when they first came out. The super super lux first like the Taycan were already out of the price range for 80% of car buyers before it was converted to electric.
- Animatronio 4y agoThe Taycan was and is electric only.
- rngname22 4y agoAppearance should be driven by drag coefficient, storage capability, and safety. Designs like Aptera's solar vehicle exemplify this.
