This is probably due to the underlying filesystem being case insensitive on Mac. As a hack, you can create a symlink alias on a per repo basis. ln -s HEAD .git

This is probably due to the underlying filesystem being case insensitive on Mac. As a hack, you can create a symlink alias on a per repo basis.
ln -s HEAD .git/head
