Move to the San Francisco Bay Area. (I'd bet the Aussies in the audience who've made the same move would agree.)
- hwijaya 18y agoI thought about that too actually. But, outside friends and family factors, i got to be honestly said, moving country kinda bring the whole scary feeling to the next level. I just moved to Sydney 5 years ago for study..and now..the idea of moving again after just been settle down is a bit too......jeez can't even describe how it feels...
- mhartl 18y agoI hear you. I only moved a few hundred miles (from southern California), and it has still been hard.
- ScottWhigham 18y agoI'm not sure this is good advice. You have six months of savings - six months of savings for where you live in Australia. What does that translate to Bay Area money though? In other words, what is the cost of living increase? I'd assume it's a minimum of 10% and maybe as high as 35%. That's going to reduce your run rate. Also, how much will it cost to move out there? I'd assume that would be two months worth of your savings....
