Without the US government grants this would have never happened. It's close to impossible to build a semiconductor fab when you need to actually pay your staff and not abuse the Taiwanese work culture/low wages.
- John23832 4y agoThese won’t be Taiwanese people working in Arizona, this will be Arizonans/US workers working there. I’m more concerned about the MASSIVE amount of water they’ll need and where that will come from in the middle of the desert (probably some aquifer that supports that humans in the area… that’s a recipe for disaster).
- ksec 4y agoYou dont need MASSIVE amount of water for operation. 99.9% of the water used in Fabs are recycled.
