The Wikipedia article on human skin color (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_skin_color https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_skin_color) seems to think consensus is that all humans were still dark-skinned up until 100,000 years ago or so, which is far more recent than this picture is meant to depict.
