Breathe. I agree that stalking people without their permission (can one be stalked with permission?) should not be an option and is a bad necessity of a business. The goal of the customer is to use the product to its fullest potential. Re: advertising, customer will hyper target as much as possible. The blame is squarely on Facebook for allowing invasive targeting. That said, I really enjoyed the fine grained hyper targeting when I was running some local election campaigns. I could literally send messages to specific friends via the ads!
