It’s annoyingly the same cadre of people giving these vacuous speeches over and over —- Bari Weiss handing the microphone to Dorian Abbott or whoever. Your post really nails it. The only thing I can add is that when you try and dig a bit at how they see this group of people, it’s always a “mob” and not an aggrieved group of future scholars who might have legitimate complains. They’re always, always infantilized.
