This is a big problem in all scientific fields. No one can hold all the relevant information in their head. I expect that there are various "easy" and worthwhile results to be had in many fields if someone could combine and integrate large paths of known results. But this is just not feasible to do for a human mind. Over time I think we need to either create a GAI or enhance ourselves(via genetic engineering, brain-computer-interface, eternal youth or other ways) to overcome this fundamental human limitations.
