Am I completely misunderstanding Twitter, in my understanding, there are a relatively small number of accounts — businesses, politicians, blue checks, etc. Who are trying to ‘buy’ influence of the rest of us. Yes their are some accounts that may be of some value like Steven King alluded to, but this seems to flip on its head. Really the “rest of us” value the the “blue checks” so much we’ll pay $8 to be let into the party.
