I always carry some extra clothes, water, dry food and a first aid kit. I also have a dolly and other “big items” which have come in useful, but ofc not really as needed as the other stuff. Backpack for laptop and other things, sure. At least where I am, the stations and cars are not really adjusted well for the climates and you cannot eat or drink on them. And thankfully I don’t have to commute at all anymore, anyways :) so I don’t have to pick my “lesser of two evils.” Cities can do whatever they want, all I have said is I prefer the privacy and comfort of a car as an introvert, if I have to visit a city.
