How to pick colors for a syntax highlighting theme
- Comevius 4y agoI prefer light themes, but usually have to roll my own that follows the WCAG specification (contrast ratio of 7:1 for normal text). My color palette for syntax highlighting: - Green (#006600): strings - Blue (#2e2eff): types - Red (#b30000): keywords - Gray (#595959): comments, constants For editor UI: - White: editor background - Gray5 (#f7f7f7): ruler - Gray10 (#f2f2f2): statusline and menu background - Gray15 (#d1d1d1): selected menu item background - Red15 (#ffd1d1): error background - Yellow15 (#ffffd1): warning background
