  What if that was precisely his point? Musk is a marketeer, if he can convince people that you can drive a Tesla when you are a member of the traditional right it means more business for him! Teslas have some appeal to car people, they look sleek and have terrific acceleration, it's just unfortunate that they have an image problem because they are associated with the woke left. Elons comportment will change that view.

    People who drive Teslas are overwhelmingly doing it for environmental reasons, as well as supporting the cause of electric vehicles (aka mitigating climate change). Most Republicans aren’t interested in those causes. Elon isn’t a marketing genius. These tweets are hammering Tesla’s stock price- it’s down 4.5% on a day when the greater market is up slightly.
