The funny thing is you can also find 100s of articles extolling the virtues of daylight savings time. Those were written to justify the existence of DST when it was created and parroted later.
Now that we are getting closer to abolishing DST, we get articles like this...
Like this doesn't even seem correct to me. It claims the 1 hour DST shift suddenly means 1 hour misalignment with solar noon. But the number of hours of sunlight itself changes throughout the year. Solar noon is the midpoint of the hours of sunlight, so it also changes gradually across the year. If the sun is the ultimate thing pulling our internal clocks in the right direction, our internal clocks CANNOT stay stable at 24 hour intervals.
I'm too tired/sleepy (heh) to work out all the details, but the one thing I know is that this is a weird marketing sort of article anticipating the change that is coming, not truth. There are advantages/disadvantages to both systems. None can be ideal because DST discretizes the gradual daily change of solar duration into 2 shifts and no DST ignores the duration completely.
But the decision has already been made to abolish DST and US/Canada are slowly collaborating and getting ready to make it happen. So now we get marketing extolling its virtues.
