You could buy attention today (promoted tweets, promoted "who to follow", or more shady sites selling followers and likes). Most didn't. Musk (and yourself) seem to be falling in the age old mistake of thinking they are the user, a thought every decent PM should slap out of him, had he not fired them all, and made the rest scared for their lives.

Not easily. Promoted tweets isn't a subscription and average user doesn't want to dive into their backend Ad platform. I don't think anyone is failing to see your perspective. I am sharing what I think as objectively as I can present it. You and I are not wrong or right, we will have to see how things will play out. These are proposals. $8/month. Subscribe. Done.
