I read about 4-6 books per month, usually with plenty of notes. In my case, it’s spending less time doing other things I enjoy (playing games, watching movies) and putting that time towards reading (which I also deeply enjoy). I always read at my own pace and never sacrifice comprehension in order to eke out another book. That said, some books are easier to read than others. The more you read about a particular subject, the faster a section of reading might go in another book on a related topic.
- tsol 4y agoDo you read just one book at a time? Do you have to plan out that time, or do you naturally find yourself choosing to pick reading over the alternatives? I used to love reading, but I find I hardly do it. I have to make it a point to make myself do it, and then I often am in the mood for a different book all the time.
- cocacola1 4y agoI read one book at a time. I think it was a case of I spent so much time watching movies and playing games, I wanted to do something else for a change. Now it's more of a conscious choice – I choose to read as opposed to watch or play. Not to say I never watch or play, but I usually do more of that when I'm between books. I try to read for ~3-6 hours.
