There were simple computational devices going back centuries and depending on the definition even millennia. The axioms of computation were also entirely formalized and proven long before electronic computers were born
- tsimionescu 4y agoTrue, I forgot especially about Babbage and Lovelace's contributions... Still, my point still stands if we limit it to electronic computers, I think.
