Corpus Christi sold its water to Exxon and is losing its big bet on desalination
- pencilguin 4y agoAllowing desalination would enable Exxon expanding their shale extraction operation, an environmental disaster. I.e., desalination by itself would be fine, except CC has enough water for its own use without. I suspect the tricky swap was meant as a way for Exxon to avoid getting blocked trying to do desalination on its own.
