The thing I find most intriguing, aside from how the crow mind works and what it's limits may be, is THAT IT WORKS! Seriously. The crow brain is tiny, yet this animal is a high functioning consciousness. There is something fundemental about consciousness outside our grasp, and I hope we learn more about it while I am here to appreciate it. For an even smaller scale example, there was this big spider. It was terrorizing my wife and granddaughter! Would come out in a rush, drive them off and then take cover. I show up with the towel hoping to scoop it up, or kill it, depending on how it could all go, and my first toss was dead on! Got him in route to cover! Yes! Just as I begin to gather the towel, that spider is out! So I swat, spider goes flying, lands and then runs right up to me, stands on a few legs while extending the others in a totally clear challenge! Was bad ass frankly! I got it, bad ass and all, and released it outside. Figured that one earned it. Fine spider, clearly not gonna take any shit, deserved to live another day. And these kinds of things have happened before. I am amazed thinking the entire mass of the spider may be on par with the crow brain! Yet the behavior is complex. There something basic we just do not know yet. That is all.
