I'm genuinely curious why he chooses such different personas for Twitter and the press. It seems like maybe he doesn't want to be held accountable for what he does online? I can get this, but I think it's just not tenable. He seems to act with relative poise in interviews, then he acts surprised that people take what he does online seriously.
- oneeyedpigeon 4y agoI suspect a lot of people act differently on Twitter than they do in real life.
- mikkergp 4y agoTrue, but he's a CEO, that unfortunately means his public statements on Twitter will be taken into accounts as reflections of his leadership. Maybe that's unfair, but generally speaking leading a company means that you do what you need to do for the sake of the company, not try to negotiate what is fair (with few exceptions). I mean, I guess that's his choice, but for someone who is so mission driven that he expects his employees to work 96 hour weeks, he doesn't seem to understand that his advertisers may have similar expectations on him to reflect stability on twitter for the sake of the mission.
