Well... was there ever a shortage of 8-bit sounds you can put into your games? These creators have been around years, i remember fiddeling with one 10 years ago when i was playing with RPG Maker 2000... A High Def Sound Creation Tool would be nice...

ZynAddSubFX is a very nice sounding, open source synthesizer. The UI is a bit awkward, but it can make some very diverse sounds.
