Akamai looks at Cloudflare's valuation with envy (and some contempt because Akamai has the larger edge network). Definitely agree Linode was purchased as a growth opportunity.
- jacooper 4y agoCloudflare's valuation is for sure because its free therefore everyone uses it(~20% of the internet). If Akamai was also free and as accessible as Cloudflare, they would start to grow for sure.
