Ask HN: Is there no way to backup Cloudflare settings?
As the title goes. Is there really no way to backup Cloudflare settings? (Terraform is pretty much garbage in config scenarios.)
- codegeek 4y agoWhat settings are you referring to ? DNS ? WAF ? You could use their API and create your own backups.
- AtNightWeCode 4y agoWhat we do. Pull from the API and hope we can PUT it back. Not really on pair with the pro companies in the field.
- FlyingAvatar 4y agoAll of ours is setup with Terraform. Built a module to transform a JSON file with a list of DNS records into CloudFlare DNS record entries. The other config is less cumbersome to just write in straight HCL.
