So if we’re stuck with the cloud, I suppose one question is whether the security differences between these various cloud services and software as a service offerings is a meaningful differentiator from a customer standpoint? I would (perhaps naïvely) imagine this is at least somewhat the case for enterprise offerings, but probably not so much from a consumer standpoint. On the other hand, Apple’s brand appears to heavily lean on the perception that it does better in this domain than its competitors. So then maybe it’s a question of to what degree perceptions tracks reality.
