Not to stray into conspiracy theory territory, but if inflation is a massive issue, bringing it down by smashing confidence through the media would be a very effective way to do it.
It explains why few people are seeing a downturn with their own eyes in spite of what the media is telling us.
- nikau 4y agoIts also probable you are in a bubble with your friends. The cost of living has gone up a lot where I live, but myself and friends earn enough that the significant grocery and energy bill spikes have zero impact on us, but if we were on a lower income and already on a tight budget we would definitely need to be cutting back on any non essentials.
