What is the difference between 'Git pull' and 'Git fetch'?
- taneliv 4y agoI never did a 'git pull', and at this point I'm too afraid to try :D But seriously, I always do a 'git fetch' and work from there (merge or as it is the case more often, rebase). There's something reassuring that 'fetch' will only retrieve remotes, and not modify local branches, index or working tree.
