If we're going to redefine dating profiles I'd like to propose my ideal: A random sampling of 10 of your recent conversations with others. I know that's not feasible and wouldn't happen if it was. But I think for me one of the most important things is figuring out who this person really is in practice.
- type-r 4y agoStruggling with what this would mean in practice -- do you mean like a screenshot / recording of the text / voice conversations you've had? I wonder if it might be tough to filter out things that are mostly just logistics, which personally tend to be a big percentage of my electronic-based interactions.
- teaearlgraycold 4y agoI mean face-to-face interactions. The goal is to find someone that cares about others and can think selflessly on a regular basis.
- quickthrower2 4y agoThe problem with that is the heavy bias towards people having a good day, and the chilling effect it will have as everyone spends their lives talking in an instagram worthy way. Black mirror.

- teaearlgraycold 4y agoDoesn’t matter. For me I’m looking for someone that does good to others. If people are doing that because they’ve been tricked into it then so be it.
- quickthrower2 4y agoSaying the right things for the media and doing good are 2 different things.
