Survey puts Windows 11 adoption at just 15% worldwide
- PaulHoule 4y agoDoesn't Win 11 require you to have the absolutely latest processor? I'd upgrade but I can't.
- sarcasmatwork 4y agoI'd want to know what % is enterprise like Intel, Google etc vs home users. Corps are almost forced to use the latest Windows, while home users, small biz don't always want or need to use that latest Windows OS.
- jonas-w 4y agoWhy would corps be forced to use the latest windows version? (Talking about 7/10/11 and not about Updates 22H2/21H2). Windows 10 will still be supported in a few years [0] and i've always heard from different IT Departments "DON'T UPGRADE TO 11". And i don't know of a large company which have a majority of their computers on Windows 11. (I'm talking about companies i work(ed) at and companies friends/family work at. Maybe these companies are an exception, but I don't think so.) I would guess most of the Windows 11 users today, were either forced into 11, wanted to use WSA or think the new UI is better for them. - citrin_ru 4y agoWindows is not my main OS but I use it occasionally and it feels to me that each version after 2000 is at best a mixed bag - in some aspects better in some worse than the previous one, so I switch to a new version only when forced by EOL.
- gtvwill 4y agoEh I prefer win11 on on a E3 or E5 package over the old setups any days. Like honestly some of the ghetto ass shiz I come across in old smb setups is astounding. Also micro businesses thinking they have the capacity to run maintain and manage local servers w no IT teams. Man gimme a cloud backed win11 setup over that crap anyday. Win10 is eh AVG, mandatory tpm rocks.
- IronWolve 4y agoI held off on win11 due to hardware/software support, the latest version supported everything and toolbar replacement apps are out (just like I used on win10). Win11 22H2 seems to be a good release, upgrading finally seems to be flawless for me. WSL2/WSLg is also very nice.
