Is Pingdom Effectively Dead?
Is Pingdom effectively dead/abandoned/stale/whatever? Seems slow and buggy and support is unresponsive.
I guess I already know the answer. So any recommendations for a similar product that will monitor endpoints as well as do simple "go to that URL, click the link, check for text" kind of scenarios? Doesn't have to be free. In fact, I would prefer to pay for it.
Thx!
- mtmail 4y agoThere's a 100 services. We're using StatusCake because we need server monitoring (CPU, RAM, Disc) as well plus https://instatus.com/ https://instatus.com/ for the status page. I recommend https://onlineornot.com/ https://onlineornot.com/ which is a fellow HN founder and you can follow his progress here https://twitter.com/RozenMD/ https://twitter.com/RozenMD/
- prirun 4y agoI've been using Uptime Robot for years - free plan to monitor around 5 URLs. I used uptime.com when they first got started, but looks like they start at $67/mo now.

- rozenmd 4y agoFounder of OnlineOrNot here - https://onlineornot.com https://onlineornot.com sounds like it'd be a good fit for that use case (if not, happy to talk and see where we're missing functionality)
- gregors 4y agocheck out - https://apex.sh/ https://apex.sh/ Really good!
