https://archive.ph/km0gU https://archive.ph/km0gU Why would I pay $1 million for a 1 bed, 600 sq ft apartment in the city when I can get a 3000 sq ft house with a couple acres of land for just 350k? Sure it's an 8 mile drive to the nearest grocery store, but it takes less than 10 minutes. My 1 mile drive to the grocery store in the city would often take me 20+ minutes due to traffic and parking was never guaranteed and was a huge source of stress. Both at the store and upon returning home (due to street parking). With remote work, I still reap the same benefit of a nice salary but my cost of living and sources of stress are nearly gone. It's simply a no brainer. I gtfo of the city when Covid started and could not be happier with my decision.
