Ask HN: Is GameCenter in iOS restricted to only games?

This may seem like a silly question, but will an iOS app that is not game, but uses GameCenter for matchmaking be rejected? I have looked through all of the documentation and I have not come across anything that has restricted GameCenter to only games, but I may be wrong.
