Journos are shooting themselves in the foot. If you were to ask me 5 years ago about NYT, I would not have a single negative thing to say about them. Today, it is just totally the opposite. NYT + WaPo have just become unbelievably servant to their base and doubling down on their bias. Such a disaster.
- dsq 4y agoBoth of those news outlets you mentioned are paywalled so that you cannot read even one article for free at a time like they used to. Meanwhile, over at Fox news, all articles are free and open. Without passing judgment on their respective content, this simple distinction shows the difference. Paywalling theoretically should have raised the quality by providing more income and perhaps it has. But that content is unavailable to the vast majority of casual readers.
