Why are they performing this study in the UK instead of comparing the (self-reported) drinking population from the UK against a known, never to have consumed population, from a Muslim country? That would control for previous drinkers and underreporting the habit.
- colordrops 4y agoCouldn't there be countless other differences due to environment, food, culture, genetics, etc that would be hard to separate? I'm no scientist but I was under the impression that the control group should be as close as possible a cohort other than what is being tested.
