All passenger users pay to use uber... so this is an unnecessary punch in the gut to the user experience. I wonder if there's a breaking point with internet-based advertising, where it becomes so widespread and effective at squeezing people's wallets, that basically no one has money to spend on goods anymore. Who knows.
