Twitter is not a technical problem. We as a society are simply unable to wield such a tool in any useful way. When you combine three obvious truths: * people are tribal to the point of irrationality * controversial clickbait bullshit travels fast and right to page 1, erudite corrections go on page 7 and are cheerfully ignored (see point 1) * people don't listen, they wait to talk There is no value in giving everyone such a platform. It achieves no useful purpose whatsoever that cannot be achieved more neutrally, deliberately, and less sensationally. On Bullshit is required reading.
