The reciprocal value of access to maintainers
- metadat 4y agoI wonder how much Filippo is managing to bring in with this strategy so far. We the audience are owed nothing, but financial transparency would be immensely generous and a useful signal to understand what is possible on average. It sounds like a potential win-win, if the clients are open to it and feel like it provides significant value.
- gradschoolfail 4y agoNote: spoiler/shibboleth at the end. Kinda tangential, but the wording of the title (“reciprocal”) made me look for “quadratic funding” in the post. After all, maintainers are that kind of almost public good aren’t they. That said, I can’t tell which one of the NYPL lions it is, without having to look it up.
