In the early days Facebook was invite only as select colleges were onboarded so it had an allure to it. Kind of like Clubhouse did. I remember kids had two profiles, MySpace and Facebook and you’d qualify wether you saw a post or messaged someone on which platform. Eventually, the center of gravity switched to Facebook and people stopped maintaining their MySpace accounts.
