- h0l0cube 4y agoWhat makes you think he wasn’t beyond ‘sins of the father’?
- Aunche 4y agoWhen did I say he was a sinner? It's just really odd to characterize the a member of arguably the most powerful political dynasty in US history to be "challenging the status quo".
- DiggyJohnson 4y agoYou are admitting to your disbelief that a person born with his background can do such a thing, and that’s kind of silly unless you say more.
- chiefalchemist 4y agoWhat makes you think he wasn't? That said, assassination is a pretty strong signal for different.
- Aunche 4y agoThat's not how this works. You're the one peddling a conspiracy theory. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to provide better evidence than him delivering a populist speech once.
- chiefalchemist 4y ago> Peddling a conspiracy theory? Nah. I simple stated the obvious. That is, when and what ideals those two cultural leaders - who were assassinated - shared. It doesn't take a conspiracy to murder someone for their ideals when they conflict with and undermine your very profitable and powerful status quo. But sure...let's just write it off as bad luck. Who cares if history teaches plenty of lessons otherwise.
- favorited 4y ago> any of the other Democrats at the time The Democrats were anything but a bloc in the days of LBJ and RFK. The progressive wing was, with LBJ, forcing through the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, over the objections and filibuster of the Dixiecrats, who were soon to flee the party in droves. Meanwhile, LBJ was terrified that RFK would primary him and win. It is fundamentally meaningless to try to differentiate someone from "the Democrats" when the party was fundamentally split between warring ideologies.
