The companies I worked for, since the 70s, routinely posted salary data. In fact, the company I worked for in the 80s, not only posted all salaries, but all positions, criteria to advance, expected competencies per position, etc. That so many companies today do not is unbelievable to me. We had far fewer claims of salary discrimination in the 80s than when I retired in 2020.
