I wish energy people wouldn't make charts of power consumption and label them with energy labels. One of the charts in labelled TWh, and the next kWh per capita. What the author means is TWh per year amd kWh per capita per year. Just divide by 8760, please. I find 5.7 kW (continuous consumption) much easier to understand than 50 000 kWh ("per year" being implied, but not stated).
